FTS - Fabric Tension System
|
FTS Motor Controller and Wiring
A specialized motor controller and wiring method is required in the FTS system to connect, control, and synchronize the dual motors. The electrical enclosure that houses the controller board is 8" W x 10" H x 4" D and it has standard knock-outs on each side. One control box will be used for each shade, each shade will have two motors (one in the fabric tube, and one in the cable take-up tube).
Each motor will require a 5-conductor home-run electrical connection to the FTS motor controller box. The power to operate the motors, 120VAC, also is run to the controller along with at least 3-conductor low-voltage control wires for the switch or connection to an automation system. The FTS motor controller should remain accessible for service and the adjustment for the two tension settings, set on the circuit board via potentiometers. |
